Everyone coped surprisingly well with the early start on Monday morning and we were on the Autobahn shortly after 6am. The bus driver is very nice and the bus is comfortable. We made four stops underway, slept a little and arrived in the Black Forest area to snow lying on the ground and slopes on either side of the road. The students could hardly contain their excitement and could not wait to play in the snow. The youth hostel at Menzenschwand is really cosy. The students all achieved Excellence in bedmaking- you will all be pleased to know! We enjoyed dinner and then headed out for a walk. The students let off steam after being in a bus all day by making snowballs and going on a leisurely nature walk to a spectacular waterfall. We were all ready for bed when quiet time came around at 10pm. (by Frau Delgrosso)
